In 2021, Connor & Rebecca started Slane Chocolate, a nonprofit corporation providing handcrafted dark chocolate on a mission to glorify God by spreading His Word and funding Christian ministry. Through this endeavor, they discovered that they work well as a team, not only in the home, but also in business.

Rebecca Slane is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a part-time virtual private practice called Slane Nutrition Counseling. She has a passion for educating & feeding people to nourish their bodies well. She has been interested in growing food from a young age & spent many seasons experimenting as a home gardener. She also had the opportunity to learn regenerative practices first-hand at Green Door Gourmet & Ireland Organic Farms as an intern in 2021.

Connor Slane is a former assistant pro & golf instructor who studied plant & soil science at MTSU with the idea of becoming a golf course superintendent. His career took a turn as he sought a means to use his skills in a more family-oriented career, which led to the inception of Genesis Gardens. Connor’s favorite activity as a child was digging in the dirt with his toy bulldozer. Now, even as an adult, he gets to enjoy getting his hands dirty daily.
